PCSX4 Emulator 2016 + Bios and Roms

PCSX4 Emulator 2016 with Bios & Roms Latest

PCXS4 is a free closed source PlayStation 4 Emulator for Windows XP,Vista,W7 and W8 operating systems. The PS4 emulator is still in development so don’t expect a bug-free experience. PCXS4 is the first PS4 emulator that can actually play games from Blu-ray and Disk images.

PlayStation Network(PSN) is not supported yet and probably never will. PCSX4 Emulator 2016 Bios is made by a small group of developers and this doesn’t have priority for us. If you want to join us and help make PCXS4 better then go to the contact page and send us an Email. We are also looking for active players who can help us find bugs to tell developers about them in detail(how to reproduce the bug etc…). If you have any question(s) about the emulator or you don’t know how to configure install PCXS4 then first read the tutorial and our FAQ below:

PCSX4 Emulator 2016 Features:

  • How do I install PCSX4 Emulator 2016?

There actually isn’t any installation procedure for pSX. All you need to do is extract the emulator with an RAR compatible utility (WinRAR), place the BIOS (check BIOS section below for details) in the bios directory, and run psxfin.exe.

  • What are the Requirements for using this emulator?

  • Windows 2000 or newer/Linux OS.
  • CPU that supports SSE2 (Pentium 4 and up, Athlon64 and up)
  • GPU that supports Pixel Shaders 2.0
  • 512mb RAM

  • Windows Vista / Windows 7 32bit/64bit.
  • CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo @ 3.2ghz or better.
  • GPU: 8600gt or better.
  • 1gb RAM (2gb if on Vista / Windows 7)
  • Does the Emulator Support 4 cores?

No, currently up to 3 cores are supported (2 cores and an additional one if the new MTVU speed hack is used). To make PCSX2 efficiently use 4 or more cores will require major code changes. So don’t ask when quad-core support will be available since it won’t be anytime soon! However, PCSX4 will run fine on your quad-core processor. It just won’t benefit from the extra core.

  • Why is my CPU load less than 100%?

As said above,PCSX2 only uses 2 cores,so if you have more the CPU usage will be way less 100%. Even if you have exactly 2 cores, the emulator will not cause 100% CPU usage because of the way threading works. This does NOT mean PCSX2 isn’t using the full power of your CPU, it is normal.operating systems.

  • Why does pSX (Linux) seem to be complaining about a missing library?

pSX (Linux) makes use of the “libgtkglext” library to draw OpenGL graphics to the screen. As such, it needs to be installed in order for pSX to work. You should be able to find this library in your Linux distribution’s package repository.

  • What is a BIOS?

It is the software installed on a Sony PlayStation that games use to communicate with the hardware. In short, it’s like a PlayStation’s operating system.

  • How do I Get the BIOS?

To obtain it, you must dump the BIOS data from your PlayStation (see below).

Because the BIOS is content that is copyrighted by Sony, it is illegal to distribute (download, email, give to friends, etc) the BIOS.
  • Can you write your own BIOS so that a copyright one is not needed?

This is unlikely to happen for PS1 emulation, though it is possible for PS2 emulation.

  • How do I play a Game?

You can follow our getting started page (recommended) or:

  • Dump your own BIOS and put it into the BIOS folder.
  • Configure the emulator (read Section III below)
  • Get your Ps2 game discs ready, or make an ISO of them for faster access.
  • Configure the CDVDrom plugin or the internal ISO reader to point to those ISO/discs.
    System->Boot CD/DVD (fast)
